One Year Ago

One year ago, an insurgency of more than 300 white supremacists gathered in Charlottesville, VA for the now notorious “Unite the Right” rally. During this two day rally, Alt-right members, Klansman, Neo-Nazis and Neo-Confederates congregated. They spewed hate speech, carried torches, waved swastika flags, flaunted semiautomatic weapons and even wore Klansman attire. A brave group of student activists assembled to counter the Unite the Right rally. Among those protesters were members of the Virginia Student Environmental Coalition (VSEC), a group that PDF supports.
