The Peace Development Fund is more than a grantmaker: our model of philanthropy involves direct funding, advocacy where appropriate and partnerships built around mutual respect, sharing of resources, and transparency of planning and decision-making. We endeavor to be a key “go-to” foundation on issues of peace, human rights, social justice and environmental protection. We work to counter-balance dominant power structures by moving resources and sharing decision-making with activist groups and communities.
Philanthropic Advising
We are a trusted partner for donors and foundations looking to support transformative organizing strategies, and bring a long track record of supporting and uplifting fledgling groups.

Community-Led Grantmaking
We provide grants to support transformative power-building efforts. This funding is largely allocated through community-led grantmaking cycles that center the perspectives of those closest to injustices.
Fiscal Sponsorship Incubation
We provide administrative infrastructure, network building, technical assistance, and other non-financial resources to dozens of grassroots efforts creating lasting change in their communities.
