At Peace Development Fund, our north star is community-led resilience — the collective capacity of communities to heal, adapt, and thrive on their own terms, grounded in shared power, care, and interdependence.
We support grassroots organizations and movements that are building power, strengthening relationships, and developing locally rooted responses to social, economic, and environmental challenges. By funding community organizing and grassroots leadership, we help create the conditions for communities not only to respond to crises, but to shape more just, sustainable, and peaceful futures.

Peace Development Fund works to build the capacity of community-based organizations through grants, training, and other resources as partners in human rights and social justice movements. Through grantmaking, philanthropic partnerships, and fiscal sponsorships, we help build the capacity of community-based organizations and strengthen efforts for lasting social change.

We envision a world where communities have the power, resources, and relationships needed to build just, peaceful, and sustainable futures. In this world, peace is not only the absence of war, but the presence of interdependent relationships, where conflicts are addressed without violence, and communities grow and work together to confront injustice and build collective well-being.
Our work is guided by a set of core values that shape how we partner with communities, donors, and movements:
We center humanity,
empathy, and care in all
that we do, for our
partners, for one another,
and for ourselves.
We believe those most
affected by injustice hold
the solutions.
We act with integrity,
trust, authenticity, and
accountability, tending to
relationships as living
commitments.
We recognize that our
liberation is bound
together and requires all
of us.

We create space to learn,
adapt, and evolve.
